Robots Txt File or Robots Text File

The Robots Txt File is an important file that lets you tell the search engine robots what they can do; what they can't do and where your sitemap is. All websites should have a robots text file!

The Power of Blogging; every SEO should have one!

It is amazing how powerful a blog can be. Not only for SEO; yes it can help you gain rankings if used correctly; it can also get your point across and cause change.

The WTF SEO Blog has been going for a few months now; albeit left for long periods of time while I was helping out a client who had every conceivable Google penalty under the Sun. Not my doing, mind and now corrected!

Robots Block the Selling of Cheap Cruises

No; Mars has not attacked! One element of SEO work, be it in Travel SEO or elsewhere, that is often overlooked is the Robots Txt File which should be found as an extension to any home page. For instance at domain.com/robots.txt.

This file is very important as it tells Google et al what to index; i.e. add to their search results and what not to index; these could be private folders and files on the server or even a development test area.
