A New Look at Doing SEO by offering White Label SEO in and Around Hampshire
Though this is no longer happening!
For around five years, I haven’t charged for SEO. For most of that time, I have been top or near the top of Google for SEO Portsmouth, Hampshire and other SEO terms; but have never really utilised this position as I don’t like dealing with the money side of things. I have also never given myself a value; by that, I mean how much I am worth to others. Note: I added no-index to the site as this is now a test site, although I removed this a week ago.
After chatting to a friend who runs a digital marketing agency in Southampton and with a web designer from Portsmouth, I feel that there may be a way forward for me to earn money. Doing the job, I love; without the need for giving myself value as such; it’s called White Label SEO.
By doing this, small businesses can benefit and also grow through my experience yet gain all the credence themselves. Me giving something back.
Why the Need for White Labelling?
My biggest bugbear and the cause of why most of my clients ended up with me is due to other SEO Companies messing up their [the clients] SEO. How can I charge someone who has been hit with massive bills from others who don’t know what they are doing and, for want of a better word, have fucked up the client’s website?
I want to help them but find it hard to charge a fee so that labelling will get around this.
How the White Label SEO in Hampshire will work
With Sean, the Southampton guy, we talked about a retainer where I do the SEO side of things for his clients without the clients knowing it is me doing it. So a kind of white label SEO. This would initially be to get the websites ranked locally and then potentially nationally, depending on the optimised keywords.
I will work for some time each month to get the required results and get paid a set fee. This fee would need to be small enough to make it affordable to all sizes of SEO companies, be they one-person bands or fully-fledged digital marketing agencies.
My initial thoughts came up with a fee of around £99 a week, so £433.29 per month; now, that to some may sound steep. But remember, you can charge your clients whatever you want, AND this covers ALL of your clients; it is NOT per client! However, if I feel your client fees are excessive compared to what their return on investment (ROI) is likely to be, then I won’t work with you. I would make it that I can’t work with any of your clients as an SEO should they leave you for a period of as yet to be decided months.
I have expenses, so I would need four agencies to give me a profit that equates to the living wage. I would also have to limit myself to a small number of agencies [one man bands etc.] due to the possible amount of work needed. The maximum number of agencies would be 8; however, six would be far more manageable. Also, if the agency has a lot of clients, each would receive less time on their projects. I guess that means I would have to be able to offer two; let’s call them seats, with each seat being £99 a week.
If you offer SEO and would be interested in working with me, OK “cough” paying me to work with you via white label SEO, don’t hesitate to get in touch with me here…
